What is a typical interview like?
There is no typical interview. Everyone has a different story to tell and their own special way of telling it. We’re just there to capture it.

What do you do with the footage once the interview is over?
We take that footage, clean it up, and cut it down into chapters corresponding with different points in the subject’s life. Depending on the package you choose, we can also edit in old photos, home movies and other relevant content (like footage of an old advert for your first car when talking about it), creating an even more robust video biography.

How long does the editing process take?
The editing process can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, depending on the interview package selected.

Can I review and make changes to the cut?
Absolutely. A rough cut will be provided digitally for your review, if requested. At that point, you can suggest any changes or omissions.

Can I have the raw footage?
Of course. The raw footage will be provided to you, along with any other digitized materials (photos, documents, etc), upon completion of the project.

Does interviewing a couple cost more?
Not at all. The rates are the same for individuals or couples.

You’re not going to shoot this with a cheap flip camera or iPhone are you?
Absolutely not. We shoot our interviews using the same professional cameras currently utilized by many popular TV shows (House, Breaking Bad, Saturday Night Live) and major motion pictures (127 Hours, Act of Valor, Captain America).

So, does that mean you’re going to be lugging a ton of equipment into my house?
Nope. Our cameras are small, lightweight and only need minimal lighting to produce a professional, high quality image. You’ll barely know we’re there.

I hate how I look on camera.
That’s not a question. But, don’t worry, we’ll make sure you are looking your best. :)

How much does it all cost?
Base packages start at just a few hundred dollars. E-mail us for the full list of rates and services.
